Today, I will take you to visit our gate valve workshop.
Firstly, we hope to introduce the gate valve usage. Gate valves can be used for a vast number of fluids. Davan Flowtek’s gate valves are suitable under the following working conditions: Potable water, waste water , neutral liquids and gas.
It is designed for fully open or fully closed service. And they are installed in pipelines as isolating valves, and should not be used as control or regulating valves. When operating the valve stem, the gate moves up- or downwards on the threaded part of the stem. Operation of a gate valve is performed doing an either clockwise to close (CTC) or clockwise to open (CTO) rotating motion of the stem.
The resilient-seated gate valve is of particular advantage in the waste water sector because it does not have a valve bag at its bottom. The valve is a so-called smooth bottom passage which prevents deposits from building up in the bottom. The plastic sliding cap made of elastomer vulcanized all over a ductile iron core ensures 100% tightness, featuring very low operating torques at the same time. As the rubber(EPDM or NBR) is compressible, it can compensate unevenness in the coating, if any.
