What is a Y stainer?
Y-strainer is an indispensable filtering device for the pipeline system for conveying medium. It is usually installed at the inlet of pressure reducing valve, pressure relief valve, water level valve or other equipment to remove impurities in the medium.
To protect the normal use of valves and equipment. And it has the characteristics of advanced structure, small resistance and convenient drainage. The applicable media of Y strainer can be water, oil and gas. Generally, the water network is 18-30 mesh, the air network is 10-100 mesh, and the oil network is 100-480 mesh. it is mainly composed of pipe, main pipe, filter blue, flange, flange cover and fastener.
When the liquid enters the filter blue through the main pipe, the solid impurity particles are blocked in the filter , and the clean fluid passes through the filter and is discharged from the outlet.
Y strainer is a small equipment to remove solid particles in the liquid, which can protect the normal operation of the equipment. When the fluid enters the strainer cartridge, its impurities are blocked, and the clean filtrate is exited from the strainer.
When cleaning is needed, just remove the strainer cartridge and reinstall it after processing. Therefore, it is extremely convenient to use and maintain. Y-strainer, also known as decontamination device and filter valve, is an indispensable equipment for the pipeline system of conveying medium.
Its function is to filter mechanical impurities in the medium, and it can be used for rust, sand, and a small of solids in liquid. Particles are filtered to protect the fittings on the equipment pipes from abrasion and blockage, and to protect the equipment from malfunctioning.
The Y-strainer is a special design . One end is to pass liquids such as water, and one end is to deposit waste and impurities. The water to be treated by the filter enters the body from the water inlet, and impurities in the water are deposited on the stainless steel screen, thereby generating a pressure difference.
The pressure switch monitors the pressure difference between the water inlet and outlet. When the pressure reaches the set value, the electric controller feeds the water control valve and drives the motor signal to trigger the following actions: the motor drives the brush to rotate, cleans the filter element, and simultaneously controls the valve to open.
For the drainage, the entire cleaning process only takes tens of seconds. When the cleaning is completed, the control valve is closed, the motor stops rotating, the system returns to its initial state, and the next filtration process begins. After the equipment is installed, it is debugged by a technician to set the filtration time and cleaning conversion time. The water to be treated enters the body from the water inlet, and the filter starts to work normally.
